Pamper night essentials #1

Welcome to part 1 of my pamper night essentials this part will include getting ready for the bath of pamper heaven!

1. A face mask

I use "Avons pore penetrating black mineral mask" this is a clay based mask containing Salicylic Acid which is used in lots of skin care products and exfoliates skin also improving the skins texture and color.

This mask goes on black and dries grey so depeding on how much you layer up on your skin the longer it will take to dry on your face. Once this mask has dried it shows you were your biggest pores are, I have told lots of people about this product and they have responded with "oh no! I wouldn't like to know where my biggest pores are!". But aswell as showing you the Salicylic acid works well to try and kessen the pres. I also think showing up your biggest pores is even better because then I know where I need to put "pore minimising products" so I'm not wasting any product on places of my face where pores aren't visible.

2. Spot treatment

I use and aloe vera gel as I'm sure everybody knows works miracles and this is a very thin gel mask that is clear and goes all over the face and you can feel eventually when it has dried all over your face and sunk into your skin.

3. Wash it all off with a face wash

For this I just use a foaming face wash which I put a spot on my facial brush and buff into the skin and all over the skin. This one is a pH neutral so doesn't smell of anything and doesn't irratate any sensitive skin.

The face brush mentioned is my Boots Botanics brush.

4. Spot Treatment

This time I use a liquid which you have to get from behind a pharmacist's counter, this is a toner and cleanser as well as a treatment. Obviously this is a strong smelling one because it is from a witched plant. But just using a small splash of this on a cotton wool pad all over any acne, spots or just all over the face works absolute wonders! Definitely a massive repurchase of mine!!

4. Moisturise

Lastly used for part 1 of pamper night I moisturise will a cooling moisturiser. This also includes cucumber which leaves a cooling sensation to the face which is so nice after all the face masks and scrubbing! Because this is a cream formula as well you only need a little to go a long way!

What are your pamper essentials for skin care?

2014

HAPPY 'SOON' NEW YEAR AND GOODBYE 2013 YOU WERE LOVELY!!!

Right lets get down to the good stuff, 2013 you were great well done, actually you were quite the best so far I have discovered that oh lordy yes I can be loved by another human being and infact my best friend is my twin.

Nitty Gritty Time!!
I have 4 resolutions that are quite acheivable (yes I cheated).

Don't cry as much
I haven't really cried in 2013 but I don't like anyone else being sad, let alone myself. I just have to keep telling myself it can be solved with chocolate and a movie it's not the end of the world.

Go to the gym at least once a week
I was a bit cautious of doing this one but overall it is do-able as I always have blogilates if I can not make it to the gym. I'm not having a trainer because I don't care. Although my boyfriend usually comes home and shows off a lot and i'm quite a competitve girl so that should push me towards going to the gym. I mainly want a six pack but I realise my live of pizza may need to cut down to healthier snacks. I could always enhance v-lines but that may need a couple of trips a week to the gym.

Plan more
I mean this when it comes to blogging, or vlogging. I will use the reminder and calender on my phine more often! I will jot down thoughts and ideas on the go in one of my notebooks that I constantly keep buying. I will plan more!

Be happy overall
Don't let anybody bring me down. I don't care what they say the friends I have at high school I will probably forget them, but dare I say it? YOLO "you've only got one shot so make it count"-JLS

So there we go here's to blogging twice as hard in 2014 and making a real go of it!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

It's Tea Dance Time

A quite different post from me today. I am writing this while snacking on a sandwich and just. Finished sound check.
I just happen to be out today on a trip with my mum, auntie Sandra, Robert and Roberts parents.

My auntie holds ballroom and sequence dancing every Wednesday, Saturday and Thursday.

So today is a special occasion.

As you can tell from these photos Nantwich Civic Hall is a massive place with a beautiful dance floor for any function.

The tables have been decorated with roses and people have arrived.

The cakes have gone down a treat with all the guests and my singing went just as well as hoped.

During the interval cakes served on cake stands we're placed on each table along with tea and coffee being served, to make this tea dance special.

The cakes were eaten very quickly (with a few on the floor. Oops), and lots of compliments towards what had been served, some saying it was more than what they expected.

The floor and hall itself look very different with all the lights turned down and the special effects played.
Only downsides I would think is if a drink gets spilled everybody else will spill but the Bar staff are very good when dealing with spillages.

Overall the whole afternoon was a massive success with a great turn out! Everybody was so lovely and obviously enjoyed others company.

Everybody I talked to loved the whole idea of 'afternoon tea' dances instead of night dances. Obviously this concept suited older people more as they could not come out/make it at night time.

From what I know from Sandra this was only a one-off but seen as so many people loved this idea. Who knows? Maybe there will be many more of these dances to come, hopefully with more tea!

The whole experience was an enjoyable one for me and everybody involved. Nobody had to worry about a thing and was planned out well ahead of the date.

Disadvantages: The music is modern, upbeat, and ballroom and Latin sequenced dance based. Obviously this will not be to everybody's cup of tea but to the people that love this kind of thing, will love everything that is there for them!
