Playlist of the month!

Ooo new thing, its that time again where I talk about how fast the year is going and the music i've been loving this month. Every month I will have 12 different songs. I'm hoping these posts will be short as I won't explain my choices in many details and some may just be because my phone decided it would shuffle it every. single. time.

1:
Whenever Wherever, Shakira live from Paris. I love Shakira and this is one of my favourite songs by her.
2: Boom Clap, Charli XCX. Never really listened to any of her songs before but love her voice and this song is very boppy.
3: Yoncé, Beyoncé. QUEEN. QUEEN. QUEEN.
4: You know I'm no good, Amy Winehouse. Amy Winehouse is my absolute idol, her voice was so recognisable and iconic. In my opinion this was her best of the best and is my favourite song of hers.
5: Crazy in love (fifty shades of grey version), Beyoncé. Urgh, this is too perfect not to be on repeat.
6: Here it go again, Ok Go. This song may be known to you as the men on treadmills dance. This version is live and I lurve it.

7: Hung Up, Madonna. I saw this on a music channel while I was home alone and it hasn't left my head since.
8: Va Va Voom, Nicki Minaj. Bit of a throw back this was mine and my best friends favourite song of summer and we still know all the words.
9: Part of your world, Little Mermaid. I saw this on my recommendations to you tube and thought why not, little did I know it was actually Jodi Benson the one and only that was the voice of Ariel singing Part of your World live all these years later. It was still like listening to the original version.
10: Home, Leah Mcfall. Remember this girl? The R.I.P amazing cover on the voice. Coached by Will.I.Am? Has come out with a fantastic song and spectacular video that I am addicted to?
11: Sheezus, Lily Allen. You probably know I love Lily Allen and follow her everywhere. Little sidenote that I am also in love with her newest video that has come out!
12: How to be a heartbreaker, Marina and the Diamonds. Once again I am in love with Marina and really like her covers. She has such a unique voice and urgh, she is perfection in my eyes.

Right so those are the 12 songs.
What songs have you been loving, what are on your most recently played list?

Babylips Vs Dupe!

The post that I have been promising for months, is finally here. I first found out that there even was a dupe when watching a you tube haul. I was reluctant to buy the babylips because I already had so many balms and didn't believe about the moisturisation promises made by maybelline. So as a cheapy (is that a word) I went for the dupe. Soon after though with many videos watched and ravings I bought the babylips. I have had both these products for the past few months so lets get to the point.

Pros: Lets start good then, there is definitely more of a colour in these. Although the colour is sheer it has more colour to it than any of the babylips even the tinted ones (which I have bought and tried).
Secondly a flavour is prominent in every one of these balms in the miss sporty line. I personally prefer a flavoured lipstick or balm because I enjoy the smells. Lastly the obivous pro is that this is cheaper which is better for your bank.

Cons: This doesn't work as well and as long as babylips in the moisturising situations. Which is a big downside when looking for a moisuturising lip balm, this would be more of a "take out and top up" lipbalm, rather than "first thing in morning swipe will last till dinner". Another downside is that the casing isn't as pretty as the babylips, this again is in my opinion but the casing for my miss sporty balm has already split whereas my babylips which has been taken out alot more than this balm hasn't been damaged at all. I also just like how the pink and blue contrast very well and this works well in the whole range of babylips.

Pros: Although I had massive doubts about the 8 hour hydration promises I was very suprised to find that this was very true. It is highly moisturising and is perfect for very chapped lips and even slightly sunburnt lips (as it can happen). Secondly this range has a bigger variety of flavours and colours although the scents aren't as strong.

Cons: An obvious downfall is that this is pricier so that is for yoursleves to have an opinion on. Lastly the lack of colour and scent (which is a personal preference), I don't really enjoy going out without a colour on my lips and I feel that the scent just makes it well worth it and complete

In conclusion: I feel that the babylips are well worth it considering the mosturisation, packaging and variety. Although the miss sporty range may suit more people because of price. I strongly recommend investing in the babylips (although it isn't much of an investment), for I believe that it is well worth it.

So there is the well waited post, thankyou for being so patient. If you have any questins about prices or suggestions for posts please don't hesitate to email me or comment on this post.

Thanks for resding!!

Current Favourites

As promised here I am writing at a fayre in the country, trying to maintain a stall as well as talk about my current favourites at the moment. I don't do a monthly favourites just whenever I feel I have stacked up enough love for items then I will write a post.

My favourites this time include beauty, shops and scents so lets get started

1: Flower Glasses
As you can tell I screen shotted this from a video I was making. These were £2 from Primark but I think they have been reduced now to £1 which is a bargain. When I wore these on holiday I got so many compliments and people asking where I got them from. The sides of the frame are metal and the little flowers are plastic. I originally saw these shades on Primarks instagram and went on the hunt. These are in my favourites because I think they are overall just so lovely and do their job as sunglasses.

2: Lipstick Case
When I was helping out at yet another fayre, when unpacking the bric-a-brac I spotted this hidden treasure and instantly fell in love. It reminds me a lot of a mermaid with the glittery blues and silvers marking the top of the case. With silver coating the outside it makes a nice reflective surface and the mirror inside is also handy. This is in my favourites because I have been looking for a lippie case for as long as I can imagine, as my lipsticks tend to break or chip when I take them out with me. This piece fulfills my need while making me feel magical.

3: Flower Bag/Clutch
This is from Select in the sale for £8 although they do have these in different colours at Primark now also for £8 (can you tell I like to have a mooch in Primark?). It also has a metal chained strap with it but I tended to use this as a clutch on holiday as I had sunburn on my shoulder. This is in my favourites because I think the little gold detail in the middle of the flowers is so cute and it is like the tardis in there. I felt like Mary Poppins pulling everything out of my bag!

4: Avon Lip Conditioner
This may look like a nude lipstick but looks can be decieving, this is actually a balm but in a snazzy case. This is in my favourites because it does the job of a balm and is very mousturising and it looks fancy.

5: Anti-Perspirant Spray
In the fragrance lotus and watermelon I pretty much think this is a winner! This is in my favourites because it does the job of freshening me up and also smells beautiful and fruity. Just what I ask for!!

7: Fragrant Body Mist
This for me is the perfect holiday/summer scent, I bought this a while ago so have no idea of the price but since my holiday I have been using this everyday and it seems like none of it has been used. I can't remember the exact scent it was advertised and all the writing is in another language but all I can say is coconut. This is in my favourites because I couldn't possibly leave it out.

8: Room 13 Interiors
Recently I went to Dagfields with my mother and aunt, when we found some paint but ended up standing there aimlessly for 15 minutes before a woman came up and asked if we needed help. Room 13 Interiors paint and refurbish different pieces of furniture or cabinets etc... Christina also sells candles which contain a piece of jewellery worth £10-£2000 which is stored in the cande so once you are burning it you get a little present, which I thought was quite cute. The candles are £25 and worth every penny in my opinion as they smell good and you get something included in that. For the paint we bought I haven't tried it out yet (I'm lazy). Once we have tried the paint out I will give you an update on how it went. This is in my favourites because Christina was so nice and all the products she sells is well worth the money ***also on their facebook page right now there is a competition to win a candle once they get 500 likes, so go check it out***

9: Maybelling Lips 24 Hour
I actually got gifted the colour Glamour Pink and fell in love instantly, I would say it is quite a young persons colour as it is quite a shocking pink. The concept of the lip colour is a formula that I think is close to the Rimmel Apocolips which then sets slightly then you coat a balm on top to set it. I'm not lying when I say that I showered thoroughly, applied a face mask and scrub, also slept in this and you could still see the colour. It really is a 24 hour stay product. So I thought it was only right to get one in a coral colour for prom. The closest they had was Infinite Coral which did exactly the job it needed to and stayed on throughout prom and the after party as well!! These are in my favourites because they do exactly what they say on the tin and the colours are very strong and vibrant. Well worth the money for £8.99.

10: Bracelet
I also wore this for prom, again lucky enough to be gifted this, it is a simple design with a silver coating which leads into a sprakling diamonte centre piece. This is on my favourites because it is just perfect if you need a bracelet but nothing to big or in your face. A very stunning but simple piece of jewellery.

11: Shoes
These nude wedges from Primark are £10-£12 (not too sure, sorry :( ), are perfect to go with any outfit with not too much of a heel but gives you that slight height which you may need on a night out. These are in my favourites because they are perfect.

So those were all my current favourites, it may seem like a lot but I did plan for many more. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and leave any comments down below as I love recieving them or checking out your blogs.

Liebester Award!

Oooh look at that snazzy picture *courtesy of Charlie*!! If you do not know I have been nominated by the lovely Charlie aka http://chxrlietottle.blogspot.co.uk/ for a Liebster award. I love recieving any email saying that I have had a like or comment on a post. This morning at dance it made my day, I very much recommend checking out his blog as it is a work of art.

The rules are:

You must answer all of the questions that have been given by the person who nominated you.

You must link back to the person who has nominated you.

After completing the questions you must nominate 11 bloggers (under 200 followers) and give them 11 questions of your choice.

You cannot nominate the person who nominated you.

You must let your nominees know that they have been nominated and provide a link to your post so they can learn about it.

Charlie's Questions:

1: Who would you consider your celebrity style icon?

If you have been on my blog since the start you know that Beyoncé is a massive part of my life. In music, inspiration and fashion. I sometimes find myself walking into Topshop to find a two piece set or rings that she may have been pictured wearing. Beyoncé has also taught me in fashion that you can wear whatever you want as long as you like it, nobody else should have a problem. Plus she's a total babe.

2: Who is your guilty pleasure singer and what is your guilty pleasure song?

I'm a sucker for the boyband cheesy songs. So my guilty pleasure song will probably be by Five, keep on moving. Me and my dad have this on a disc in the car that we have made up a dance routine to. I know, don't judge. If you don't know this song, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbWJVult-9M . My guilty pleasure singer is Ashlee Simpson, I realise that after the whole Saturday Night Live lip sync thing nothing big has gone on with her, but I do love her voice.

3: If you could have a dinner party with three other celebrities (dead or alive) who would you choose?

Amy Winehouse and Elvis Presley are a definite. I was bought up in their music era and look up to them so much.  The third celeb is when I become unsure. I want to say Nick Grimshaw because of his humour and likeness, at the same time I want to say Beyoncé because she is my idol.

4: Who insipired you to start your blog?

Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter. She is a fantastic role model and also my inspiration for you tube when I decide to start it.

5: If you could visit a place anywhere in the world that you haven't been fortunate enough to visit where would you go?

Without a doubt Kenya to see all the animals in the wild. Spoiler alert for my birthday which is coming up I am going to the local zoo to feed the meerkats and see the elephants up close. Dream come true.

6: What is one song that makes you happy?

Pencil full of lead - Paolo Nutini

7: If you could live in any era which one would it be and why?

The 60's for the fashion and 80's for the music.

8: Whats your favourite item of clothing in your wardrobe?

I'm going to go with a new purchase and say this Harry Potter shirt from primark. I love Harry Potter and the styles if the rolled up sleeves. ^I will have a post up later about it, right now its in the wash^

9: What is your least favourite fashion trend past or present?

Not going to lie, I'm not a big fan of jelly shoes. If you can oull them off I consider it a miracle.

10: Are you part of any fandom? e.g. musician, TV series, book, film?

Beyhive all the way. I also love the Shaytards.

Finally we have got to my 11 nominees. I have chosen these people based on the content of their blog and how active they seem to be.

2. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be?
3. What is your favourite dessert?
4. Who is your celebrity icon?
5. Do you prefer Disneyland paris or america? If you haven't been to either or just one, which one would you prefer?

Cleaning Makeup Brushes

Its a thing that I am always asked. Now I have the answer. I do it all in a step by step process and every sunday when I know I wont need any more make-up on and my brushes will be dry for monday morning. So here is my pretty simple, cheap, non-time consuming step by step way to clean makeup brushes.

Step 1: I line up all my makeup brushes that have an un-natural colour on them *the gunky blue at the bottom, or white at the top* or have been used a hell of a lot through the week *makeup sponges?, powder brushes and eye shadow stuff*.

Step 2: I then shove all my brushes into the bathroom and get to work!!!

Step 3: I then take either soap or shampoo *both very cheap* and take a blob onto my hand, if this is a bigger brush then I take a big blob of shampoo, but if its an eye shadow applicator or brow brush then i only take a little squirt of soap.

Step 4: Whichever brush I am taking, I then swirl it into my hand through the shampoo or soap and then rinse it off with luke warm tap water. I keep doing this until you see no makeup residue or gunk running off down the plug hole.

Step 5: Once this is done for every single brush or sponge. I then lay these to dry on top of kitchen roll or toilet paper, just on the bathroom windowsill or a ledge. These are then all left until the morning when they will all be dry and clean as a spark.

So there we go in a simple 5 step process I think I pretty much have it cracked. A simple and cheap way to wash makeup brushes, by doing this you help to prevent breakouts and can also help makeup application become smoother and easier.

The one and only downside to this process is the dryness of your hand afterwards so invest in a mostuirising hand cream! As from all that water and soap your hand can get painfully dry. To prevent this though you can wear exfoliating gloves, so its not all doom and gloom.

Once again thankyou for reading and taking a look at my blog. You can check out my other links down below, and come and chat with me. I hope to see you all next week otherwise have a great week and keep smiling! :D.

Every Day Makeup

argh! i've finally done it! Finally got around to sorting out my makeup into a basic layout and take some photos so I can shove some on my face.

This is an overall photo of everything that goes on my face on a daily basis. This includes priming, preperation, brows, eyes and lips. You will notice that here I do not include bronzer, highlighter or blush. This is because my face is naturally dewy and I only really go for a contour if I am going on a night out. I also hardly use mr eyebrow pencil now as I have fallen back in love with my brow bar. It is at a incredible price but I still use the spooly on the pencil.

What isnt included in the overall photo is mascara so here are the two that I wore for today. As i do swap and change daily, however there are some rules. I always wear my ted baker (completely black one) and I always have two mascaras. I just feel that this really gives me a wide eyed finish, seperates and volumizes my lashes perfectly and lasts throughout the day.

These are the brushes that I also use and usually the ones with the most makeup gunk in the. by the end of the week. Here I have a eye brushes, face brushes, brow perfector and lash curlers.

Ignore my breakfast in the background, haha! Here is the part where I list all my things, if you want any prices please dont hesitiate to ask the only reason I wont list them now is beacuse I am a cheap skate!!

NOTD

I am in love with this nail colour,  I was sorting out my nail storage yesterday when I came across it and thought 'ooh why not?'. So here I am boasting about jt. It goes with everything in my room! What pot luck and with a coral coloured dress I think this colour would look gorgeous.

I have two coats of the colour on and a clear top coat and none of the formula has chipped or peeled off, like they sometimes do. One things I have to point out though is that when painting your nails the formula is very gloopy and to be careful when they are drying as they can be knocked or smudged easily

This is Barry M's gelly collection in blueberry and can be bought from superdrug, boots and even tesco now a days!

This was a quick post that I really felt like doing, this is not my scheduled post. This will be put up later on tonight.  So look forward to that:)

Pamper night essentials #1

Welcome to part 1 of my pamper night essentials this part will include getting ready for the bath of pamper heaven!

1. A face mask

I use "Avons pore penetrating black mineral mask" this is a clay based mask containing Salicylic Acid which is used in lots of skin care products and exfoliates skin also improving the skins texture and color.

This mask goes on black and dries grey so depeding on how much you layer up on your skin the longer it will take to dry on your face. Once this mask has dried it shows you were your biggest pores are, I have told lots of people about this product and they have responded with "oh no! I wouldn't like to know where my biggest pores are!". But aswell as showing you the Salicylic acid works well to try and kessen the pres. I also think showing up your biggest pores is even better because then I know where I need to put "pore minimising products" so I'm not wasting any product on places of my face where pores aren't visible.

2. Spot treatment

I use and aloe vera gel as I'm sure everybody knows works miracles and this is a very thin gel mask that is clear and goes all over the face and you can feel eventually when it has dried all over your face and sunk into your skin.

3. Wash it all off with a face wash

For this I just use a foaming face wash which I put a spot on my facial brush and buff into the skin and all over the skin. This one is a pH neutral so doesn't smell of anything and doesn't irratate any sensitive skin.

The face brush mentioned is my Boots Botanics brush.

4. Spot Treatment

This time I use a liquid which you have to get from behind a pharmacist's counter, this is a toner and cleanser as well as a treatment. Obviously this is a strong smelling one because it is from a witched plant. But just using a small splash of this on a cotton wool pad all over any acne, spots or just all over the face works absolute wonders! Definitely a massive repurchase of mine!!

4. Moisturise

Lastly used for part 1 of pamper night I moisturise will a cooling moisturiser. This also includes cucumber which leaves a cooling sensation to the face which is so nice after all the face masks and scrubbing! Because this is a cream formula as well you only need a little to go a long way!

What are your pamper essentials for skin care?
