Babylips Vs Dupe!

The post that I have been promising for months, is finally here. I first found out that there even was a dupe when watching a you tube haul. I was reluctant to buy the babylips because I already had so many balms and didn't believe about the moisturisation promises made by maybelline. So as a cheapy (is that a word) I went for the dupe. Soon after though with many videos watched and ravings I bought the babylips. I have had both these products for the past few months so lets get to the point.

Pros: Lets start good then, there is definitely more of a colour in these. Although the colour is sheer it has more colour to it than any of the babylips even the tinted ones (which I have bought and tried).
Secondly a flavour is prominent in every one of these balms in the miss sporty line. I personally prefer a flavoured lipstick or balm because I enjoy the smells. Lastly the obivous pro is that this is cheaper which is better for your bank.

Cons: This doesn't work as well and as long as babylips in the moisturising situations. Which is a big downside when looking for a moisuturising lip balm, this would be more of a "take out and top up" lipbalm, rather than "first thing in morning swipe will last till dinner". Another downside is that the casing isn't as pretty as the babylips, this again is in my opinion but the casing for my miss sporty balm has already split whereas my babylips which has been taken out alot more than this balm hasn't been damaged at all. I also just like how the pink and blue contrast very well and this works well in the whole range of babylips.

Pros: Although I had massive doubts about the 8 hour hydration promises I was very suprised to find that this was very true. It is highly moisturising and is perfect for very chapped lips and even slightly sunburnt lips (as it can happen). Secondly this range has a bigger variety of flavours and colours although the scents aren't as strong.

Cons: An obvious downfall is that this is pricier so that is for yoursleves to have an opinion on. Lastly the lack of colour and scent (which is a personal preference), I don't really enjoy going out without a colour on my lips and I feel that the scent just makes it well worth it and complete

In conclusion: I feel that the babylips are well worth it considering the mosturisation, packaging and variety. Although the miss sporty range may suit more people because of price. I strongly recommend investing in the babylips (although it isn't much of an investment), for I believe that it is well worth it.

So there is the well waited post, thankyou for being so patient. If you have any questins about prices or suggestions for posts please don't hesitate to email me or comment on this post.

Thanks for resding!!
